Secondly, Matvey was suggested to review Michael’s listening section. With Michael’s listening section, Matvey learned to understand the characteristics of natural speech by developing a note-taking system during several listening lessons. Because of this, Matvey learned to catch the main idea and important details of campus-related and academic listening passages. By learning how to take notes and practicing taking notes as he completed 40 + listening practice tests, Matvey developed comprehensive listening skills like: deduction, dialect, unfavorable expressions, acknowledging the main idea, and comprehending transitions.
Thirdly, Matvey was suggested to review Michael’s speaking section. With Michael’s speaking section, Matvey completed numerous speaking practice tests plus 100′s of skill-building exercises which allowed for improving his proficiency in correct grammatical suffixes, stress and syllable timed rhythm, tone, and the blending of different phrases. Given this, Matvey marked a difference in his speaking and listening performance, which have him the skill set to score a 93 on the TOEFL IBT for the following time. Matvey listed his scores as: R-25, L-23, S-24, and W-21.
