Susan Yu joins an Online TOEFL Course to improve her speaking and writing scores.

Online TOEFL Course

The last thing that Susan Yu wanted to do was to join an Online TOEFL Course. However, staring at her subtotals, she could not change her fate: 22, 20, 23, and 22 on the reading, listening, speaking, and writing sections of the exam. Susan had met her target scores on the reading and listening sections, but she was shy 3 and 2 points on the speaking and writing sections. Indeed, it was a valiant effort on her part, for she had prepared for the exam on her own: without attending an intensive English program, without enrolling in a TOEFL cram school, and without paying a private tutor. She had almost pulled it off, but now she was not sure what prevented her from reaching her goals on the speaking and writing sections of the exam.

Like Susan, many TOEFLers have a difficult time overcoming their language issues with the speaking and writing sections of the exam, especially medical professionals like pharmacists, nurses, dentists, and doctors, all of whom must meet the minimum requirements of 26 and 24 points respectively. These requirements are tall orders for international students, and, in fact, many native speakers of American English would have difficult reaching these requirements. And their native language is English!

First of all, an Online TOEFL Course called “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT” offers a specific skill-building study guide giving users access to hundreds of lessons, all designed to improve their intelligibility, language use, and topic development for the independent and integrated speaking tasks. How does the course work? Well, once students subscribe to the Online TOEFL Course, they get access to a Voxopop Discussion Group, at which they can post their practice responses for a TOEFL iBT speaking mentor to evaluate. The iBT speaking mentor gives audio comments to the user, including a estimated speaking score and recommended lessons that the user can review to strengthen his/her weaknesses. Users have access to hundreds of independent and integrated speaking tasks, hence giving them ample time to practice and get things right before taking the actual exam again.

Second of all, the Online TOEFL Course called “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT” offers users hundreds of skill-building grammar and writing exercises to help them better organize and develop responses to the independent and integrated writing tasks. All writing practice practice tests are made to ETS standards. Furthermore, users can ease into the integrated practice tests since some of them are easy, others are medium, and still others are considered TOEFL-level or difficult. In all, there are 40 independent and 43 integrated practice tests in this Online TOEFL Course, and each time a user completes a practice test, a TOEFL iBT writing specialist will read, evaluate, and score the practice test, even recommending specific lessons for improvement.

Finally, Susan Yu is in good hands now as she completes the speaking and writing practice tests and lessons to help her overcome her last two language obstacles. It will not be long before she reaches her goal and passes the speaking and writing sections of the exam. Go Susan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
