Wyatt uses an Online TOEFL Course to improve his score.

After having taken the TOEFL iBT for his 3rd time, Wyatt still couldn’t acquire his target goal of 84. Eighty-four being the passing rate in Alaska according to Wyatt, Wyatt mentioned how he was having problems with his listening and reading competency in English. Wyatt’s starter comments to Michael were written as follows:

Thanks alot for you quick reply. Attached here are my scores for the 3rd time: R: 17, L: 18, S: 22, and W: 23. The passing rate here in Alaska is 84. I am close, yet usually have problems with reading. What are your advices for me in reading and listening, coz i think i also find it hard at the listening section. I hope by following your course i will reach 84.

By help of Michael’s reading section, Michael mentioned that Wyatt should practice reading academic English for one hour each day conjoined with completing reading lessons in his comprehensive reading section. By being able to participate in studying Michael’s reading section, Wyatt learned to develop a note taking systems were he would learn to create more organized responses during various reading tasks. Furthermore, Wyatt engaged in effective reading lessons where he built skills such as: discerning main ideas and details, understanding vocabulary from context, understanding the organization of reading passages including transitions, and having the ability to make inferences.

Because of this, after two months Wyatt checked back with Michael telling him about his new and improved TOEFL score of 91 with R: 22, L: 23, S: 22, and W: 24!
