Jorge joins an Online TOEFL Course and eventually scores 101.

Having majored in Economics at the University of Chile, Jorge wanted to take his education further by looking to get his Master’s degree in Applied Economics in either the United States or the UK. But something needed to be done in order to make this possible; Jorge needed to wait until he received a score of 100 or better on his TOEFL examination. Deciding to enroll in Michael’s Online TOEFL Course: “The 7 Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT,” Jorge had access to many sections of Michael’s course that are designed with English learning lessons, exercises, and practice tests, which are designed to help students perform optimally on the TOEFL iBT and also improve their English proficiency.

In Jorge’s case, he wanted to improve his speaking and pronunciation skills in order to meet his TOEFL iBT goal of scoring 100 or better. Jorge’s former feedback to Michael was as follows:

“Dear Michael,

Hello, how are you? My name is Jorge Ortiz and I live in Santiago, Chile. I shall like talk about myself a little bit. I am 29 years old and I studied Business Administration, majoring in Economics at University of Chile. I have 4 years work experience in research economics and I am now just looking for a Master’s in Applied Economics in United States or UK. Obviously my native language is Spanish, therefore I need to prepare IBT TOEFL and get an excellent score. One year ago, I done an evaluation test and got around 92 points, where my speaking was the weaker score. I need to get an excellent score 100 or better points. Please I’ll be very grateful if you give me your opinion and an objective assessment of my chances.
Thank you very much.

Sincerely,

Jorge”

Having recommended for Jorge to study his speaking and pronunciation sections; Jorge had helpful lessons, exercises, and practice tests such as Michael’s: Vowel and Consonant Sound Pre-Test or his Intelligibility post-test, were if you can score 5.0/7.0 or higher, TOEFL iBT human raters will not be distracted by your accent, allowing them to focus on your organization, topic development, word choice, and grammar. Moreover, Michael’s speaking section offers over 40 independent and 43 integrated practice tests plus 100′s of skill-building speaking exercises to improve students’ speaking proficiency and allow them to familiarize themselves with independent and integrated skills needed for the TOEFL.

Furthermore with 1000′s of pronunciation drills and practice tests in Michael’s pronunciation section, Jorge had extensive instruction in vowel and consonants sounds, word stress, intonation, and pausing of certain words and phrases.

Because of this, Jorge improved his speaking fluidity and proficiency in academic English. Such that he commented back to Michael with a new TOEFL iBT score of 101 with Speaking 27 and R-24, L-22, and W-28. Like Jorge, do you need to improve your TOEFL score?
