Aberto joins an Online TOEFL Course to improve his speaking, writing, and reading abilities.

With Michael’s course, Aberto improved in speaking, writing, and reading. An Italian native, Aberto is a father and husband who moved to the United States with a strong Italian accent and limited English comprehension skills. Aberto sought to find a better life here in the U.S. for him and his family, but he knew he would have to work hard in order to improve his English proficiency and seek a better life.

Having difficulty in areas such as speaking, writing, and reading, Aberto needed to find a course which would help him improve his English and reach his goal of attaining a better life in the United States. Although needing to have good English skills before that could happen, Aberto did some research and joined an Online TOEFL Course which would help in his success: “The 7-Step System to pass the TOEFL iBT,” by founder owner and materials writer Michael Buckhoff.

Through Michael’s lesson plans, Aberto went from “I drem of founding a better live in the United States” to “I dream of attaining a better life in the United States.” Having difficulty in areas such as speaking and writing, Aberto completed both integrated and independent skill-building tasks in order to help him improve in his speaking fluidity, pronunciation, and writing proficiencies. And, after countless exercises and feedback provided by iBT speaking and writing specialists through the Voxopop Discussion Group and Michael’s Online TOEFL course, Aberto was amazed at how much his abilities improved! Now he had much better control of his grammar and vocabulary usage, he could more coherently organize and develop ideas, and even his pronunciation was getting better.

Furthermore, Aberto had trouble reading in English, but again, through Michael’s course and guidance, this was easily improved. To solve this difficulty, Aberto increased his basic and advanced vocabulary proficiency until he had more than 1,700 college-level words. In addition, he began completing speed reading practice tests until he was able to read at 325 words per minute with 80% comprehension. Finally, he learned the different iBT reading question types and the strategies for answering them. Therefore, Aberto was a much better equipped reader not only for the TOEFL exam but also for all the books he would have to read upon becoming a graduate student at the University of Minnesota. And, he also liked to read for pleasure, and having a faster reading speed would allow him to read more of the adventure books he liked to read.

In conclusion, armed with improved English proficiencies in vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, listening, reading, writing, and speaking, Aberto is definitely on track to reach his TOEFL goals.
