Aakar joins an Online TOEFL Course to score 90+.

Nepali native Aakar joined the Online TOEFL Course: “The 7 Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT” on March 1, 2013.  Created by Michael Buckhoff, materials writer, founder, owner and teacher for this TOEFL Course, Aakar finally found the lesson plans and exercises which enabled him to reach TOEFL success. Originally scoring 71 and then 80 with reading 20, listening 18, speaking 20, and writing 22 on his fourth and last attempt, Aakar commented how he wanted to score above 90 on the TOEFL in order to improve his academic English competitiveness while in school.  Nepal’s next TOEFL Exam was on May 2, 2013; because of this, Aakar was recommended Michael’s “60-Day Online TOEFL Course 7-Step Study Guide Focusing on Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Grammar, Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.”

With a variety of lessons and exercises going back-to-back within Michael’s 60-Day TOEFL Study Guide, Aakar finally had the lesson plans he needed to reach his TOEFL goal. However, Aakar seemed to struggle at first meeting each assignment’s necessary criteria. Reason being, Aakar had trouble with his ability to pronounce and intonate different vowels and consonants, write with proper grammar and sentence structure, and catch the main idea and important details of campus-related and academic listening passages which affected his overall reading. Fortunately, with feedback given by Michael and with staff correcting Aakar’s flaws and suggesting ways for him to improve, Aakar slowly began developing his academic English proficiency in the following weeks remaining before his next TOEFL Exam.

Studying everyday to improve his academic English, Aakar took full advantage of the feedback provided to him by Michael and Staff to better his overall intelligibility for each of the lessons in the 60-Day TOEFL Study Guide. After some time and constantly studying the material, Aakar began to show notable differences in his responses from what they formerly were. For example, Aakar improved his ability to pronounce and intonate different vowels and consonants; his ability to write with basic and advanced sentence structures, verb tenses, word forms, word choice, parallel structures, and so on; and his ability to understand the main idea and important details of campus-related and academic listening passages which helped him read more effectively. With this in mind, Aakar was developing the skills he needed to reach his TOEFL goal.

Because of this, it is mostly likely that Aakar felt ready when taking his next TOEFL iBT Exam on May 2, 2013, because Aakar commented to Michael that he ended up scoring 95 with reading 24, listening 22, speaking 24, and writing 25! This is remarkable! So how would you like to improve your TOEFL score like Aakar?
