M. gets feedback from his TOEFL iBT Speaking Specialist.

TOEFLers,

Over the last five years, I have graded more than 5,000 independent and integrated speaking practice tests at my Online TOEFL Course, each time  evaluating the students’ delivery, language use, and topic development.  Since I have more than 700 vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, listening, reading, writing, and speaking lessons, I can be very specific when I evaluate students’ speaking proficiencies.  For example, if I notice that a student is having problems with intonation, I can recommend TOEFL Pronunciation Lessons 36-40, all of which will help the student learn how to vary his/her intonation.

M., one of my Online TOEFL Course students, has been practicing TOEFL speaking for two weeks. In the following video, he responds to my integrated speaking practice test 2 in which the reading and the listening passages discuss the  negative and positive effects of the Internet. Then I replay his response, critiquing and scoring his practice test, and send him video comments to his e-mail address:

Cordially,
