Learn how to recognize and avoid this common TOEFL iBT writing error.

Getting a high score on writing is preceded by a lot of TOEFL iBT writing practice and by having had extended exposure to English in the form of vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening, speaking, and note-taking. Of course, to get the highest possible score on the integrated and independent writing tasks, you will need to have good control of your language use, implying that you will need to use appropriate word choice and sentence structure.

Guil, one of my Online TOEFL Course students of “The 7-Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT”, has been completing writing practice tests for the last two months. In addition to completing practice tests and studying their accompanying integrated and independent writing lessons, Guil has also been studying grammar and vocabulary lessons to help him improve.

On his last writing practice test, I noticed that he was making a common writing error.  Then, after I pointed it out, he sent me an e-mail requesting further clarification about how to improve his writing by avoiding this common writing error. In the following video, I will explain what this common writing error is and how to avoid it when completing TOEFL iBT integrated and independent writing tasks.
