Five points short of 100, Myra joins an Online TOEFL Course.

To enter her university of choice, Mayra was formerly required to score at least 100/120 on the TOEFL IBT. However, Mayra felt her listening abilities in English were not where they needed to be in order for this goal to be met. Mayra needed to her ability to catch the main idea and being able to conclude with proper inference. Because of this, Mayra had seen potential in her success of passing the TOEFL IBT with Michael’s Online TOEFL Course: “The 7 Step System to Pass the TOEFL IBT”.

Mayra’s first statement to Michael was written as follows:

“Hi Michael,

I am student and my score is as follow= reading-25, listening-21, speaking-25, and writing 24. My listening won’t improve and I have tired toefl many times. I didn’t get more than 21 in listening for twice times already. I need your help to improve my score.

Sincerely,

Mayra”

Only five points away from reaching her target score of 100/120, Mayra’s most recent score was 95/120 with: R-25, L-21, S-25, and W-24. As such, Michael recommended that Mayra works out the lessons, practice tests, and exercises within his exclusive listening section for one month. Respectively, Mayra improved her listening inaccuracies and overall listening proficiency in academic English accordingly.

During Mayra’s subscription, she learned the ropes when completing & studying the content from Michael’s listening lessons. By working out listening lessons offered, Mayra was able to distinguish the main idea and important details of academic listening passages and practice tests. Because of this, Mayra learned listening skills as: inference, idioms, negative expressions, getting the main idea, and understanding transitions. Furthermore, Mayra was taught how to take proper notes as she completed over forty different listening practice tests. As a result, Mayra gained proficiency when writing and summarizing about the different practice tests in this section. Conclusively, Mayra built sufficient listening skills over the course of her subscription.

At the end of the day, Michael’s listening section familiarized Mayra with TOEFL IBT question types she would see during her next exam, questions such as: pronoun referent, paraphrase, details, and infer rhetorical purposes. Reluctantly, when Mayra’s subscription was over she improved by 5 points. Mayra messaged her new results as 100/120 with: R-25, L-24, S-26, and W-25.
