In the following video, you will see two of my Online TOEFL Course students completing independent speaking tasks. The first student’s TOEFL speaking score is approximately 14-15 pts out of 30, and the second student’s TOEFL speaking score is about 23-24 points out of 30.
As you watch the video, pay attention to the intonation patterns of American English of both students. Why does the second speaker have a better intonation than the first speaker? How does your intonation compare to these two speakers?
