Iranian native Darius enrols in an Online TOEFL Course in order to score higher.

“Hi Mr. Buckhoff,
This is Darius and I’m from Iran. I am going to join Santa Monica College for Fall Semester so I don’t have much time to prepare myself for TOEFL exam. This is the second time I am preparing myself for the TOEFL iBT. The first time I studied on my own about 2 months and I scored 65 (which I know is a horrible score!).
My lowest score was on the reading section with (9/30) and the rest followed as listening (16/30), speaking (20/30), and writing (20/30). I know that I got a bad score the first time, which is why I decided to join your Online TOEFL Course: “The 7 Step System to Pass the TOEFL iBT,” for I can improve my English and TOEFL score. I am a hard working student and I’m sure if you help me, I can get my goal score of (90/120). However, what would you be able to suggest for me?
I would really appreciate your help!

Thanks,

Darius”

Because Darius had poor reading skills and had a personal goal of scoring (90/120) when taking his next TOEFL exam, Michael had assigned to him the task of engaging in an extensive reading campaign for 3 months and to work on the lessons in his 90-Day TOEFL Study Guide. Because of this, Darius worked hard in improving his English proficiency and in the end he improved his skills exponentially.

To begin, with the task of engaging Darius in an extensive reading campaign, Darius was instructed to complete multiple reading comprehension lessons and Words Per Minute academic speed reading practice tests. With the reading lessons, Darius developed key reading abilities such as discerning main ideas and details, understanding vocabulary from context, understanding the organization of reading passages including transitions, and having the ability to make inferences. As for the Words Per Minute academic speed reading practice tests, Darius engaged in thoughtful practice tests in which after a few months had Darius reading at a speed of 304 words per minute with 80% comprehension.
Because of all this, Darius developed the reading skills he needed to perform proficiently in the reading section of the TOEFL iBT.

As for the task of working out the lessons in Michael’s 90-Day TOEFL Study Guide, Darius was provided with multiple lessons sequenced in such a manner to strategically improve his vocabulary, pronunciation, grammar, reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills. Given this, Darius worked hard daily in studying the material in Michael’s day-to-day lessons within his 90-Day TOEFL Study Guide. And as time went by, Darius bettered his overall intelligibility and proficiency in all sections within Michael’s course. Such that when Darius had taken the TOEFL iBT for the second time, he scored 91 with R20, L22, S24, and W25!

In the end, Darius showed he was serious in working hard in improving his English proficiency and his efforts paid off in the end because of his commitment. So, if you are interested in improving your TOEFL score like Darius was and are committed to doing so, consider joining Michael’s TOEFL course and begin improving your academic English proficiency in as little as tomorrow.
